About
How it all started
Born in Cincinnati, OH, Matthew knew he was meant to be an actor the moment he made strangers laugh during the final performance at the Shakespeare camp his mom forced him to go to in 7th grade. After graduating from Northwestern University and completing the BADA Shakespeare Intensive at The University of Oxford, he spent a year touring with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Seeking to diversify his skill set, Matthew moved to NYC to earn his Master's in Musical Theatre from NYU Steinhardt, and catch up on dance classes to finally make his 6'3" frame look graceful onstage. Since then, he's performed at various regional theatres across the US, and has recently began exploring musical theatre writing!
